 Shore break - 1

The image above was taken during a 4 day trip to Monterey in spring. On a typical trip, I may take as many as 1,000 images or more.  However, it's tough to determine which are going to be the most successful until after processing.  Also, preparing for a trip without a specific objective required me to take a lot more lens than I could carry at one time.

The challenge of taking the shore break image was to capture the waves breaking both at the top and bottom of the image simultaneously. This also resulted in a better flow to the composition.

The photograph above was taken with a 85 Tilt/Shift F4 lens on a CF tripod with ISO 400 negative film.
